Hypersensitivity is a way of feeling and experiencing things more intensely than average. More than a character trait, hypersensitivity seeps into all the fibers of one's being. In addition, there are as many characteristics of hypersensitivity as there are hypersensitive people. Suffice to say that it is not always easy to understand how to live with a hypersensitive person!

However, hypersensitivity, when we know it, is something wonderful. You still have to know that you are hypersensitive. Not obvious, because the "symptoms" differ from one individual to another. Yet some signs do not deceive.

Here are five things to know about highly sensitive women.

1. Fatigue comes faster, it is more intense

A highly sensitive woman gets tired more quickly. The reasons are as numerous as they are diverse. Hypersensitivity is not simply linked to emotions. Often, hypersensitive people are also very (hyper) sensitive:
- To touch. For example, the brushing of a material, labels on clothing... can irritate them.
- To odors. Olfactory hypersensitivity can be both positive and negative. (an odor can bring back great emotions experienced or, on the contrary, make you sick.)
- To noises. Also called hyperacusis, too much noise can have a negative effect on the hypersensitive person, who can no longer concentrate.
The tolerance threshold is therefore more limited for a highly sensitive woman. She then needs to isolate herself to rest, decompress, and no longer suffer external aggressions.

2. The end justifies the means!

Do you remember those cute little gremlins that you shouldn't feed after midnight? Well, when a highly sensitive woman is hungry, she can quickly turn into gremlins who have been fed despite the time! All joking aside, hunger can really influence the mood or concentration of a highly sensitive person. She also suffers more easily from intolerances, stomach aches...

3. The heart dominates

Empathy is one of the main characteristics of a highly sensitive person. The feeling of injustice, on the other hand, is difficult to tolerate. A highly sensitive woman tends to have a very good instinct and try to follow it at all costs. She knows when the people she loves are not doing well, but also suffers enormously from the sadness of others. She is a real sponge for emotions.

4. Why make it simple when you can make it complicated?

A thought or an idea can easily disturb the hypersensitive person. In these cases, she even tends to scatter, to spread out. Often, she complicates what could be simple. The cause? Her arborescent thought, like a tree with multiple tortuous branches. An adaptation time is therefore necessary for each new situation.

5. Wonder is even greater.

The highly sensitive woman notices the beauty of things more easily. She is able to cry in front of a painting that makes her feel things. A landscape can move her beyond measure. This is not about innocence or naivety, but about a way of loving the beauty of simple things.

There are many other symptoms to detect hypersensitivity, but if you recognize yourself in these few lines, it is very likely that you are a highly sensitive woman.

Fortunately, when we manage to put words to sometimes deeply rooted ailments, being a highly sensitive woman is wonderful. Feeling everything more intensely, being endowed with extreme intuition... Hypersensitivity, once you know how to channel it, is not a flaw. It's a real strength.
