Our DIY Homemade Laundry Detergent Recipes

So to make a natural and ecological homemade laundry detergent, follow the steps of our DIY. You will obtain a laundry detergent that smells divinely good and that is especially wonderful for your skin and for the planet.

For your simple homemade Marseille Soap laundry detergent recipe (1L):

- 50 grams of Marseille soap flakes
- 1 liter of hot water.
- Baking soda (2 tablespoons).
- Soda crystals (2 tablespoons).
- Drops of essential oil (of your choice in order to give the scent you want to your homemade laundry detergent)

In a container, put a small handful of Marseille soap flakes. Then pour very hot water over the flakes to melt them. Shake well. Add the baking soda and soda crystals. Pour another 1/2 liter of hot water to reach 1 L of laundry detergent. Shake well. And that's it, your homemade laundry detergent is ready!

For your homemade fabric softener recipe (½ liter):

- 250 ml of water
- 200 ml of white vinegar
- 30 ml of vegetable glycerin
- Drops of essential oil (of your choice)

In a container, dilute the glycerin in the water. Then add the white vinegar and a few drops of essential oil to this mixture. Mix. Then, to finish, stir before each use and pour into the compartment provided for this purpose for your washing machine! This fabric softener will soften your laundry perfectly and prevent your clothes from becoming rough with washing.

- Remember not to fill your laundry detergent bottles completely so that you can shake them before use.
- Do not store your laundry detergent anywhere. It must always be stored at room temperature, away from heat and cold.
- Remember to drain your washing machines which can become clogged with homemade laundry detergent which is more consistent than industrial laundry detergent.
